Canada Research in Motion released its WiFi model, Blackberry 8820, through AT&T today.
The new quadband model builds upon recent enterprise releases, offering built-in GPS, a media player and space for a microSD memory card. The product is compatible with 802.11a, b and g enterprise security features.
The product runs on AT&T’s EDGE network, WiFi hotspots and AT&T WiFi roaming spots and claims to be functional in 190 nations. The aesthetics mirror 8800 launches, including the trackball navigation system, a recent departure from the side-scroll mechanism.
